The Pack includes a 4oz Bottle of Dreadlock Removal Shampoo, and a 4oz Bottle of Dreadlock Damage Control Conditioner.
Knotty Boy's Dread removal Shampoo contains White Grapefruit and Hempseel Oil to restore the nutrients and proteins in your hair. It will dissolve Dread Wax and soften your dreadlocks up for easy removal.
The Damage Control Conditioner is packed with Prickly Pear, Hempseed oil, Aloe Vera and Jojoba to smooth, strenghten and detangle the hair.
The Knotty Boy Emergency Dreadlock Removal Kit is designed for removing dreads made using wax-based products, however it will work wonders for removing all types of dreads.
What to do
Remember - Usage and results will vary depending on your hair type, how you put your dreads in, how you maintained them, and how fat, long, old, waxy, dry.......ah you get the point.
Wash your hair using the Dreadlock Removal Shampoo. If you've been a waxer then make the water as hot as you can handle, as the hotter the water, the more easily the wax will melt. You may need a few rounds with the shampoo depending on your dreads It can be a good idea to use this shampoo the last few times you wash your dreads before removal just to make it a bit easier.
Condition your hair using the removal conditioner. Work it in as much as you can.
Start combing out your dreads from the ends. If yourends are really tight then it can be a good idea to chop the ends off to get them undoing a big quicker.
The time it takes will vary from person to person, and obviously the longer and fatter your dreads, the longer it will take.
After you have removed your dreadlocks, keep using the shampoo and conditionor till its all gone as it will help repair and condition your hair.
